In the first half of the 21st century an oil rig operating in the Gulf of Mexico suddenly and violently exploded, three days into the spill, a dark red substance began to spread out blooming into a strange fungus that twisted everything it touched. This event would come to be known as the Daemonspora, and 50 years later through divine technology and infernal transformation it has brought about the end of humanity as people had known it.
